To whom it may concern:
I am concerned about the dumping of Chinese crawfish on our domestic markets.
By the time our domestic crawfish are harvested and processed, they are
priced and sold in local supermarkets at $12.99 per lb. The Chinese crawfish
have to be harvested, processed, and imported into our country, and the final
product hits the supermarkets between two and three dollars per lb. Something
about this situation just doesn't seem right. How can crawfish be
harvested, processed, and shipped into our country at such an inexpensive
price. It is unimagenable to me how this can be accomplished. I have been
associated with the crawfish industry for fifteen years now, and it must be
that there are absolutely no labor costs in China. I think that this would be
a great story to inform the public about.
Sincerely,
Concerned Consumer
